Online Collage Plate Workshop

Online Collage Plate Workshop

This is my very first Live ZOOM Class which was recorded on May 26th. If you missed the LIVE portion there is now a Video Recording of this Workshop via Oregon Potters Associations website.

Sign up here for the recording for only $30

I love making collage art using my array of collage paper. I just love the result of a Collage Painting when I'm finished. Inspired by this process, I thought, why not convert this into clay! And that's where the idea was born.

We will work with various textures and piece together multiple clay shapes to make a collage plate.

Materials Needed:
-Serrated tracing wheel (optional)
-Thin plastic
-Corn starch
-Exacto knife
-Squeegee or a soft Sherrill Mudtools
-Large & small brush
-Ruler-Rolling pin
-Large & small cookie cutters with a scalloped edge assortment of stamps (large & -small)
-Two smaller boards (larger than your bisque plate form)-Work surface (I use 2.5x2.5 drywall from home depot/lowes (precut)
-Small or large bisque plate form
-Large clay slab

The Zoom Demonstration will be recorded and sent out to all registrants if you want to attend but have a scheduling conflict during the live demonstration.

Since this is an online workshop, you will need to have a computer, tablet, or phone that can run video conferencing in a browser or app.
