Whimsy Watercolor Birdie

Class Description: 

I will start out demonstrating drawing a bird onto the watercolor paper. You may also trace a bird from my collection of birds I’ll be providing in class.

Once the drawing is complete, the process of painting begins. We will start from light to dark. I will demonstrate the relationship between the darker and lighter values which begin to communicate the form and texture of our bird. The goal is to get lost in the relaxing, fluid nature of watercolor painting…remember, we are painting a WHIMSY BIRD! Once we allow the base colors to dry, with a smaller brush, we will start to paint in the darker details on the wings, legs and eye.

Every student will leave with a finished Whimsy Bird on 140lb Watercolor Paper.

Students of every experience level are welcome!

- Transon 8 pcs Round Watercolor Paint Brush Set

- Tracing paper

- Mechanical Pencil

- Eraser

Cancellation Policy

All Classes are non-refundable due the nature of what I'm offering. In the event that Stephanie Burton Studios cancels a class due to weather, health, an emergency or low attendance. In those cases, the customer will be notified of the cancellation as soon as possible and will be offered a refund or credit for the class that is canceled, or (if possible) the option to to move into a diffent class being offered. You may also transfer to another individual if you are unable to attend. Please notify me so I can add their name to my class list.
